Volunteer: Student Volunteer: Case Management/Mental Health

This opportunity is exclusively available for volunteers associated with an educational organization and who meet specific educational requirements to complete a course.


Tasks are determined by the Director of Program, the Director of Mental Health, and the Supervisory Staff. It might look a lot like the Hope Support Aide tasks, or it might consist of other tasks directly related to each program/department as needed. 

Coordination and Communication should be with the Volunteer Coordinator and the Case Management/Mental Health Team. 

Documentation:Provide documentation from the school detailing the program, volunteer hours, or class requirements.Include professor contact information.


Onboarding:Complete the online volunteer application.Fill out a background check and other necessary paperwork.

Make a difference in our community by helping us distribute clothes! Boutique volunteer roles may be interchangeable depending on our needs for the day. Please bring your best customer service! Please wear comfortable and supportive shoes. Some work in the Esperanza Boutique may require volunteers to bend, stoop, or stand for long periods. You may also need to lift 20+ pounds.

Inventory Specialist: Receiving and sorting incoming donationsFolding and organizing donationsLabeling and sizing donations Preparing inventory for distribution, Disposing of inventory that is not up to distribution standardsShopping Associate:  Transporting ready-to-shop donations from the Inventory area to the Boutique side, Guiding shoppers through the boutique store, and Picking up empty hangers from the racks.Picking up any donations that may have fallen on the floor and returning them to their rightful place Leaving the Boutique fully stocked, organized, and ready for the next day.Boutique Cashier: Checking out each participant who is shopping in the Boutique by counting their chosen items, Folding, wrapping, and bagging each item with care.Collect hangers and return them to the sorting area

Shopping Attendant:  guiding members of our community through their grocery shopping, bagging their chosen items,weighing fooddelivering their items to their vehicles. and more. Warehouse Assistant: sorting and organizing cases of food, receiving deliveries from food trucks, and moving cases to the grocery storebreaking down cardboard boxesand more.
